Friday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Community Centre Hours:
Monday to Friday 9 a.m. – 10 p.m. (front desk until 8:30 p.m.)
Saturday & Sunday 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. (front desk until 4:30 p.m.)
Official Grand Opening on November 27
Residents of Whitby are invited to celebrate the Grand Opening of the Brooklin Community Centre and Library, Whitby’s newest recreation facility, on Saturday, November 27 with a free celebration. The public is invited to the Brooklin Community Centre and Library, located at 8 Vipond Road, between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to join in the fun. The official ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for 2 p.m.
The afternoon event will include children’s activities, fitness demonstrations and facility tours. Visit the library, learn about wellness programs, seniors programs including creative arts classes and instructional dance classes, and drop into the Youth Room open house. Find out about birthday party rentals and register for programs. Children will enjoy face painting, a balloon bender and busker.

Book Drop Now Open
The due dates for any items checked out at the former Brooklin Branch have been adjusted to coincide with opening but the book drop is now open at the Brooklin Community Centre and Library for any patrons who would like to return their materials early.
